Why don’t we currently ship to the US?

At this time, we are unable to ship orders directly to the United States. This decision is due to the high import tariffs currently applied to products made in China, which includes our gig bags.

When US orders go through customs, the following charges may apply:

  • 30% tariff on all Chinese imports (US only)

  • 25% tariff from previous trade measures (US only)

  • 3–18% tariff depending on product type (applies outside the UK)

  • Local/state taxes, which vary by destination

In some cases, these charges can add up to 73% in tariffs before local sales tax is applied. Because customs fees are beyond our control, we invoice international customers on an ex-VAT (sales tax excluded) basis, and the customer is responsible for import duties and taxes at the border.

Unfortunately, we have encountered instances where US customers declined delivery upon seeing the customs charges, leading to returned parcels. This not only incurs significant shipping costs for us but also leaves us responsible for unpaid duties. For this reason, we cannot take the risk of shipping directly to the US.

Is there an alternative?

Yes. Some US customers have successfully arranged delivery to an address outside the US (such as the UK or Europe), and then had a friend or relative forward the parcel or bring it with them when travelling to the US. If you have access to such an address, we’d be happy to ship your order there.
